Artist Companion — Subscription Terms

Last updated: 26 October 2026

These subscription terms ("Pro Terms") apply when you subscribe to Artist Companion, and are provided in addition to the User Agreement & Terms of Service, which continues to apply. By starting a Pro subscription you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to both. Where these Pro Terms conflict with the User Agreement, these Pro Terms apply to the subscription.

1. Plans, billing, and renewal

Artist Companion is available as a weekly plan (currently £2.50 per week) or a yearly plan (currently £90 per year). Prices are in GBP and include applicable VAT where required. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise the payment provider (such as Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. If a payment fails, we or the payment provider may retry it; access may be paused until payment succeeds.

2. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your account's subscription settings, which stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Fees for the current period are non-refundable, except where required by law (including your statutory 14-day cancellation rights for distance contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, where no exception applies). Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund by law.

3. What Pro includes — and its limits

Pro features currently include music distribution to streaming platforms, a hosted artist website, a merch store with 0% platform fees, free entry to Venture events, and early access to features and campaigns. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time. Free entry to events applies only to Venture-run events open to Pro artists, is subject to venue capacity and licensing, and does not include entry to events run by third parties. Free entry does not include travel, accommodation, or any other costs.

4. Music distribution

You keep 100% of your royalties and retain ownership of your music. You confirm you own or control all rights to the recordings and compositions you submit, including all necessary licences and permissions (such as samples and covers). You are responsible for accurate metadata, credits, and rights declarations. We may reject or take down a release that infringes third-party rights or breaches platform or store policies, and we may pass on any penalties or claims the stores impose on us as a result of your release. Delivery times, live dates, and store acceptance are controlled by the streaming stores and are not guaranteed.

5. Merch store and payments

The merch store lets you list and sell your own products. You are solely responsible for your products: stock, quality, shipping, delivery, customs, taxes, and consumer-law obligations (such as returns and refunds) to your buyers. Customer payments are processed by third-party payment providers; payouts are made to the bank account you configure, and you confirm you are entitled to receive payments into it. Venture is not a party to the sale between you and your buyer, and disputes with buyers are yours to resolve.

6. Artist website and hosting

Your hosted artist page remains yours to edit and publish. You are responsible for its content and for any links you add. We may remove or unpublish content that breaches the User Agreement or the law.

7. No guarantee of results

Pro provides tools and features only. We do not guarantee bookings, streams, sales, followers, or any career outcome, and nothing in our marketing should be read as such a promise.

8. Ending your subscription

When your subscription ends (by cancellation, failed payment, or expiry), Pro features are switched off. Your content and store data are retained so you can restore them if you resubscribe, but we do not guarantee retention indefinitely, and your public pages and store may become unpublished while inactive.

9. Liability

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity in the User Agreement apply fully to your subscription. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to your subscription shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Pro Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may change these Pro Terms and subscription features; the current version is always published on this page. These Pro Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except that either party may seek interim or injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction.
